Neurological Rehabilitation

This CPD training is suitable for nursing staff who are not neurological specialists. The session is interactive and aims to equip you with some basic Neurological Rehabilitation knowledge and skills, and to consider how to apply this in your clinical practice with patients. No previous knowledge of Neurological Rehabilitation is required.

Description

This session will explore: 

  • basic principles of neurological rehabilitation;
  • neurological dysfunction and common types of neurological conditions; 
  • basic rehabilitation strategies for motor, sensory, perceptual and cognitive dysfunction;
  • an interdisciplinary approach to neurological rehabilitation.  

Prerequisites

  • You must have completed a learning agreement/study bond within your organisation prior to booking your place.
